Attention, players from China:
- The current version of the game connects you to Amsterdam or to Singapore server, whichever offers the lowest ping.
- We noticed, however, that for several players with low ping to Singapore their connection to Singapore is still unreliable: up to 50% of data packets are lost, so the game would not work properly.
- In this case, these players can get into a situation where you connect to Singapore, and cannot switch back to Amsterdam because the connection is too broken to do this; so we created a server hotfix for this.
IF you experience problems connecting to the Singapore server, and the game re-connects you to Singapore when you return instead of allowing you to play on Amsterdam, THEN:
1. Right-click on the game to open PROPERTIES:
2. Select BETAS and choose the version that is called "europe - Amsterdam Only":
3. Enter the password as shown ("europeamsterdam"):
4. The game in your library should now look like this:
With this build Gremlins, Inc. will always start with the connection to Amsterdam, and you can then switch to Singapore if/when you wish via the switch in the lower left corner.
We hope that this improves the user experience of those players who experienced discomfort due to certain unreliable connection accidents between China and Singapore.
