Hello Commanders!
This update is a mixed bag of different things. There isn't one singular big thing to talk about but hopefully is a fun update nonetheless.
Skins for Towers
There is a new customization menu accessible from the main menu that allows you to change skins for several towers (with more to come in the next update). Skins are unlocked by completing achievements and can be claimed in the achievements menu.
Records Menu, Last Run History and All time Records
Speaking of achievements, the Codex, Achievements and a new Logs menus are now moved under the Records menu (accessible from the main menu).
And about run history, I honestly should have added this into the game a bit earlier, but that is the life of working as a solo developer and not having enough time. But its finally here, a way to view all time records and to see a summary of the last run you've been on!
New Events
I added 6 new events into the game (thanks to suggestions from members in the community), along with new artifacts related to these events.
New Upgrades in Market for Commanders
I've added new upgrades to the market that improve some abilities of the Commanders.
Tech Tree Rework
The Tech tree has been reworked such that Tech nodes are no longer grouped by association to a Commander, but instead grouped by a playstyle/mechanic. The goal for this change was to make the trees feel a bit better to progress through. A common complaint was that you could just reset the tree after playing one Commander and place all points in a tree for another Commander, diminishing the feel of progression.
I know that for veteran players who have already maxed out their tech points, this rework will not change much, but I hope that I now have a better base to work from for future changes. I did add a couple of new tech nodes for the Commander category for veteran players to unlock.
And More...
I'll leave the full details for the changelist below!
I hope you enjoy this latest update, the next one will be leading to 1.0. In the next update, I'm going to be adding in some biome specific features, tackle performance issues, as well as adding more content and polish. Thank you all for your continuing support and love!
As always please leave me feedback, and if you enjoy the game, please consider leaving a review if you haven't already!
