Nothing major this week
There are a few bug reports that have come in and I've been hard at work with fishing.
I won't be able to post my changes this week but I can let you know what's in the works and what to expect:
In the upcoming update, the following has been added (Not in the current patch!):
Fishing Rod items (Wonky, wooden, copper, iron and gold).
Fishing rods now cast into water and wait until the player "pulls" it back out.
Bobber detects water, but no fish yet!
Added images for player actions in all directions. You'd be surprised how much art goes into making a new player action.
Drawn a handful of fish.
What I need to add before I can call fishing "Complete" (In other words, what I need to do before I post the fishing update):
Add fish lol.
Make fishing line visible and polish fishing animations.
Polish and perfect the fishing mini-game. This is so important!
Add Mayor House, that doubles as an "Aquarium" and "Museum" like in other farming titles.
Add fish depositing.
Add rare fish.
Add "Fishmonger" shop with Bogdan as the storekeeper.
Make scary monsters that lurk in the water.
Different fish in different regions/seasons (Lake/river/ocean/swamp)
Different regions, can't have different fish without the regions lol.
Some more work on Spring and story.
This was definitely a good step in the right direction. I hope that I can pick up the pace. I have a couple ideas for fishing mini-games. Let me know your favorite fishing mini-games! It really helps.
Also, let me know if anyone is interested in a "behind-the-scenes" or a devlog. I'd happily show you the process of hand-crafting this game.
Appreciate y'all!
