Hail Survivors,
It’s been just over a month since we gave you a glimpse of Warhammer Survivors with the release of our first demo. Since then, over 190,000 of you played it. More than half of you played for over an hour, and some of you even went beyond that (yes, we see you mavericks who played for over 10 hours... wow!). All of this has far surpassed our expectations!
We’ve been blown away by the reception and would like to thank everyone who tried out their first Warhammer Survivors experience and shared their feedback with us. As we said before, it’s been both great fun and hugely inspiring watching everyone hack through the swarms of Tyranids and Skaven.
DEMO FEEDBACK – WE’RE MAKING CHANGES
We are working hard on developing Warhammer Survivors, and, in that time, we’ve already made improvements to the core experience.
Thanks to all of you, we’ve gathered a monumental motherlode of feedback – which has already been incredibly helpful for the team to see which areas of the game have been well received and which need some improvement.
Ahead of launch, we’ll release a new demo update that includes the changes we’ve been making to the full game. This new update will give you a better sense of how the full game will play when it releases later this year.
PLAY THE WARHAMMER SURVIVORS DEMO UNTIL 22.07.26
Because of this, we’re going to be removing the current Warhammer Survivors demo from the Steam store. It will still be available in your Steam Library, so you'll be able to enjoy it even after we remove the listing.
If you haven’t played the demo yet or want one more run, you have until 22.07.26 to play!
This is not the end; the endless swarms will return! Ahead of Warhammer Survivor’s launch, you’ll be able to experience the new demo and all the changes we’ve been making.
SO, WHAT ARE THESE CHANGES WE KEEP TALKING ABOUT?
Good question. Caveat here: all of this is subject to change as we continue tweaking the game, but below is a (non-exhaustive) list of everything that we’re taking a look at:
Balancing for enemies, characters, and weapons, including adjustments to health, damage, speed, and enemy waves.
Cross-universe progression – sharing currency earned between universes.
General bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements, such as:
- Fixing it so no pesky weapon chest is out of reach.
- Skipping sequences to get you quickly back into the fight!
And more!
On ‘auto-aiming weapons’: we’ve seen the feedback, and it’s not something we’re looking to change right now. By design, there are some weapons that aim automatically, whereas there are others that don’t. When the new demo launches, you’ll have access to some different weapons, offering a glimpse of more weapons from Warhammer’s Survivors overall weapon roster. At the full game’s launch, you’ll be able to try different combos and unleash an arsenal of the ones you like best!
WHEN IS WARHAMMER SURVIVORS LAUNCHING?
We know that many of you are eagerly awaiting the fabled reveal of our launch date, and rest assured – Warhammer Survivors is launching later this year. We’ll announce the release date when we’re ready, and who knows, maybe it will coincide with this new demo we’ve been talking about?
In the meantime, stay tuned to our official channels for all the latest news and updates.
And, finally, once again, a huge thank you to the Warhammer Survivors community!
