Hey scavengers, Alon here – and the wait is over!
Watch the trailer, load up your rig, and dive into the wasteland:
Dead Oil is a roguelite survival driller set in a gritty, Mad Max-inspired desert. Drive, drill, and defend your rig as you scavenge for resources and survive waves of ruthless raiders. Every run challenges you to adapt, upgrade, and outlast.
You’ll start with a basic rig, a single drill, and not much else. During the day, fight off enemy assaults from three deadly factions. At night, park your truck and drill for precious oil while making tense decisions about what to upgrade next—your firepower, your drilling tech, or your own lifeforce.
The demo features:
A complete gameplay loop with both combat and drilling phases
5 distinct enemy types
Dozens of upgrades for your rig, weapons, and gadgets
Randomized relics to shift your strategy
A brutal and stylish post-apocalyptic atmosphere
This is just the beginning.
I am building something ambitious here, tight progression, fast-paced gameplay, and meaningful roguelite systems. And this demo is your first step into the wasteland.
Huge thank you to everyone who’s wishlisted, tested, and shared feedback. You’ve helped shape the game massively already.
