Bad News: I need to delay the next update to fix reliability and security issues, and more maintenance will be happening over the next few days.
Good News: I can unveil our newest map, Fusion! Made by an ex-Call of Duty/Marvel Rivals mapper, this massive AAA-quality level is designed to be a sandbox for both movement expression and destruction.
Note: These screenshots represent the very first versions of the level. Our priority, like with all aspects of ShatterRush, is to prove the layout and core philosophy of the map works first, then move to aesthetics after.
DESIGN DEEP DIVE
In designing the layout for this map, we really listened to your feedback about the current map selection in ShatterRush. You asked for:
Larger maps, to allow more breathing room for movement and less spawn camping
An intentional map layout that allows you to chain movement much more easily
Allow destruction to create new and dynamic map layouts every fight
Fusion is designed to solve all 3 of these problems!
PLAYTESTING
Patreon members can access the behind-the-scenes look and early access to this map's development here -> https://www.patreon.com/TetraStudios/posts/first-look-new-161199844
Tier 3 Patreon members will get to playtest this level with the developers this week (vote here), and once live, both Tier 2/3 will be able to host multiplayer matches early using this map until the "Big One" update.
I'm really keen to get your thoughts and learn how we can improve this map!
