Hello, Test Subjects!
When Runway 66 first launched, our vision was huge, but from your feedback (yes, we read every single comment) we realized that technical issues and language problems were standing in the way of that vision.
Some of you said, "These devs just make new games and abandon the old ones, that’s a red flag." This update is proof of how much we value you,and that we never abandoned Runway 66. We’ve repaired the simulation from the ground up and reinforced it with next‑generation technology.
Here are the changes that will completely transform the "Subject 66" experience:
🌍 1. Language Barriers Shattered (Chinese & Korean Fixes)
This was the part that hurt the most in the reviews: "I select Korean but the text is broken," "The Chinese translations feel like Google Translate."
Font System Overhauled: No more broken squares instead of letters.
Localization Fixed: Missing translations have been completed, and nonsense sentences have been rewritten. Now you can truly understand the story and documents in your own language.
🎮 2. The Game Recognizes You (and Your Controller)!
You used to say, "I plugged in a gamepad but it still shows the 'E' key on screen" or "My sensitivity keeps resetting." Not anymore.
Dynamic Icon Switching: Using an Xbox controller? PlayStation? Keyboard and mouse? The game instantly detects what you’re using.
Steam Deck Friendly: Our game now automatically optimizes menus and text size for Steam Deck and handheld consoles. Being terrified on the go is now a lot more comfortable.
⚙️ 3. No More Stutter – Just Pure Smoothness
We’re aware of the optimization problems, especially in the hospital section. In a horror game, your worst enemy shouldn’t be the monsters,it’s stuttering.
Shader Pre‑Compilation: Now, when the game boots or you change levels, shaders are preloaded in advance. This prevents sudden in‑game hitches. A silky‑smooth tension awaits you.
DLSS, FSR, and TSR Support: Don’t say, "My GPU can’t handle this." We’ve baked in the latest AI upscaling technologies. You’ll get high FPS without sacrificing visual quality.
35+ Graphics Settings: From fog quality to shadows, you can tune every detail to match your system.
🧠 4. Meryem (AI) and the Puzzles
To everyone who said, "The AI only turns the lights off" and "What’s the code? I’m stuck at the exit!"
,we heard you.
Dynamic Stalking: Meryem no longer moves only by script. She now reacts to your sounds and movements.
Clearer Hints: The game still doesn’t hold your hand, but it no longer leaves you blindly stumbling in the dark. Key clues and interaction points are now more clearly highlighted.
💽 5. Professional Save System: The Era of "Slots" Has Begun
No more fights over, "Bro, I launched the game and my save is gone."
Save Slots: You can now create multiple save files (Slot 1, Slot 2, and so on).
Detailed Info: From the menu, you can instantly see your progress percentage, total playtime, and which chapter each slot is in.
🎧 6. Copyright‑Safe for Streamers
To our content creators who said, "I got hit with a copyright claim",that’s over. We’ve updated our music to be YouTube/Twitch friendly. You can create content with peace of mind.
❤️ Moving Forward with the Community: We Want to Earn Your Trust
We know first impressions matter, but second chances are even more precious. Runway 66 is now what it was meant to be: stable, smooth, and genuinely terrifying.
If you dropped the game or refunded it because of the bugs, we’re inviting you back to Terminal 66. The simulation begins now.
