What is Pelikeeper?
Pelikeeper is a comfy tower defense and base-building strategy game about building community and restoring light to the world. You’ll grow and defend the settlement around your lighthouse, rescue lost animal neighbors, and return constellations to the cosmos.
Why play it?
because video games are awesome duh
Actual answer: Pelikeeper will be offering a new community-centric take on the tower defense genre by combining it with base-building elements, a nostalgic, dreamlike aesthetic, and calming vibes. While it will be a game you can optimize like other tower defenses, Pelikeeper will also be a game you can unwind with.
Our Story
After developing our last game, Gemporium, in 5 months of cumulative dev time, we quickly moved on to the next game in our current “rapid development” model, which at the time was called Project Wish.
Back when we were prototyping and pitching ideas before Gemporium started development, Wish was another concept that we were excited about. We actually decided on it being the next game months before Gemporium came out, and even took a sort of break during Gemporium’s development to create a first prototype of Wish, which became Pelikeeper.
Our current rapid development model of making smaller games is a product of our unique development situation; Merge Conflict is a freshly formed team of five friends all living in one house together, and by releasing games this way we hope to gain experience, build our game catalog, and remain sustainable as a company.
We hope you’ll join us on this next journey and look forward to the release of Pelikeeper!
