🚨 A New Direction for Traceback
Over the past few months, Traceback has gone through significant changes.
Originally planned as a multiplayer PvP shooter, the game is now shifting its focus to a tense and immersive singleplayer hostage rescue experience.
We listened to your feedback. Many players felt Traceback looked too similar to existing bodycam shooters. That’s why we decided to evolve.
In this new vision, you take on the role of a special forces operator tasked with entering hostile zones, rescuing hostages, and getting out alive. Every step you take, every bullet you fire, and every decision you make will shape the outcome.
Expect smart AI enemies, unpredictable scenarios, and mission-based gameplay with intense bodycam-style immersion. We're building something slower, more focused, and more tactical than before.
🚨 Traceback is no longer PvP-focused. We’re building a singleplayer police simulation experience, with a demo planned for late September.
