˗ˏˋ Demo release date has been revealed... ˎˊ˗
Hiiiiiii!!! Huge news for all demo, release date and SPRKLS.exe enjoyers!!◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜
During the recent Secret Sauce livestream, we finally announced when you’ll be able to play the demo of a cute, melancholic puzzle-platformer visual novel about friendship and the apocalypse that unfolds entirely on YOUR DESKTOP.
The SPRKLS.exe demo will be available on August 31, 2026!!( ˶°ㅁ°) !!
This is an extremely exciting and important moment for our team, so exciting, in fact, that we forgot to include the name of the game in the trailer... (we’re sorry)
Very mysterious and cool, right...? (we’re sorry)
So, the game whose demo is coming out on August 31 is... SPRKLS.exe!!!! (we’re sorry)
Thank you so much to everyone who still managed to find the game and wishlisted it.
It truly means a lot to us and warms our hearts!!! (we’re sorry)
BTW! Now that both the demo date and the name of the game are here, let’s take a look at what we’ve been working on and what will be waiting for you in the demo!
Demo of the Demo ↺ ⎙ ⿸
The demo follows one full day with Rin.
From sleepy morning reflections and cozy conversations to wandering through the digital city, meeting new faces, getting distracted by minigames, and eventually descending into disturbing dreams, lost memories, COOL PLATFORMING SECTIONS, windows, broken windows, woooo, a forest, glass shards, more broken windows, ghosts, broken windows with ghosts.
This time, all the game modes you played (or didn’t play) during the playtest will come together to form one continuous story that may even end with a secret party or a personal date. (¬‿¬)
For you, my sleepwalker⋆𐙚₊˚⊹♡
You liked Rin’s disturbing platforming dreams so much that we decided to make them bigger, more variable, and much more disturbing.
It now features branching routes, more interaction with your desktop, and plenty of Easter eggs, hidden files, and story fragments to uncover.
So the night is getting longer.

Space in space in space.ೃ࿔ ⌂*:･
In some locations, you can now walk around freely, explore the space, and poke at all the little objects lying around with your computer mouse.
Books, decorations, forgotten belongings, and other tiny details can reveal more about the rooms, their history, and the people connected to them.
You can also look at yourself in the mirror, just like in any horror game, this will be completely fine.

I SPENT THREE DAYS IN THE GAME IN A ROW =͟͟͞͞ (꒪ᗜ꒪‧̣̥̇)
As Rin’s day goes on, the world changes with it. Morning slowly turns into evening.
Many assets now have their own daytime and nighttime versions, so rooms, streets, windows, and tiny background details will change depending on when you visit them.
Now you can justify staying up late at your computer by pointing out that it’s still only evening in the game.

We continue building, polishing, hiding weird little things everywhere, and doing all the other game stuff during our daily 13-hour Discord sessions.
Thank you for following the game, leaving feedback, and wishlisting SPRKLS.exe. It really means a lot to us!!
We’re really looking forward to finally showing you the first day of the game and sharing more development news along the way!!
