yoo
our dearest friend Mungo on twitch had a BLAST playing GONE Fishing last night, of course.... Quick patch to address some of the issues him and the crew ran into
I'll be adding a skip cutscene button soon but tbh with yall I hardcoded the hell off the current cutscene so its gonna be a second lol
Additions and Changes
Added text prompts that helps players know they can't cook or smoke an already cooked or smoked fish if they try to
Added a tip to inform the player what the gambling pool is when they walk on it (I saw a fella trying to throw his heart into the pool to revive his homeboy it broke my heart)
Impaler and crab now only have a chance to spawn after the player has done 6 casts in the same area. This value was previously 3 casts
Bug Fixes
Fixed the intro airplane cutscene. Airplane cutscene now also supports up to 8 people so you should no longer have a broken pov when playing with more than 4 players
Fixed a bug where swapping between a non fishing rod item and a fishing rod would cause the player to hold a fishing rod even though their currently equipped slot was not a fishing rod
Skeeter would moonwalk
Fixed a bug where the arachnophobia setting would not save between sessions
Fixed a bug where the giant spider ragdoll would still be a spider with arachnophobia setting enabled
Fixed a bug where sometimes your fishing rod would drop for no reason
Fixed bug where squid monster sounds could be heard across the whole map
Fixed bug where all players would hear the teleport sound when a player walked through the portal
Fixed bug where squid would attack the boat even if no one was nearby
Fixed a bug where Skeeter would say the same joke twice
Fixed a bug where Ivan would get stuck in the cave entrance after kidnapping you
Fixed a bug where the weather would rapidly change on the jungle map during the intro plane cutscene
Fixed a bug where the intro cutscene was partially bugged and the cinematic camera would be underwater
Fixed a bug where your player would be "holding" a lantern but no lantern would be visible
Fixed a bug where dropping the lantern could cause your player to hold both another item you have and a lantern
Fixed a bug where clients would start standing in the plane halfway through the cutscene
Removed the fish of the day paintings since this mechanic is no longer used
Removed the boulder in the cave that required tnt to be blown up. I removed this to help speed up progression on the lake map as it blocked players from accessing higher tier bait early on
Reduced the number of screeches the flying bat creature does
Reduced sound attenuation of all bait. they were simply too noisy
Reduced sound attenuation of the trader speaking
thanks for playing GONE Fishing
love you long time
