Hello Human farmers,
It's been one whole month since my last devlog. A lot has been added since then and I cannot wait to show you guys. So let's begin...
Characters
1. Ratlett
Ratlett is a mouse character which operates the human skewer strcuture in the game. On Human skewer players can craft recipes like, Roasted Thigh, Jelly Human Ribs etc. Currently the animations of the structure are being made so i can only show the character portrait. Later on in the game, players will find Ratlett operating other structures as well like Human Dynamo wheel.
2. Croclet
Croclet the crocodile works on the skinning structure in the game. Skinning structure is used to harvest human skin in the game. Human skin is then used to craft various luxury clothing and other utility items. Croclet is an expert in skin harvesting.
3. Hacklett
Hacklett is a useless, wasted horse citizen of the town who indulges in alcoholism. He has been like this since Grandpa Chiklet's passed away. His purpose in the game will be to guide us in setting up our farm and hunt humans properly.
4. Lamblet
Lamblet is a sheep character whose job is to harvest human hair. Much like human skin, hair are also used in crafting apparel and clothing.
Farm Structures/Buildings
1. Cauldron
This structure is used to craft gravy based recipes like Human Tikka masala, Brain curry, Kneecap soup etc. Our cow character Moolet works on the cauldron.
2. Human Skewer
This structure is used to craft roasted recipes like Creamy roasted wings, roasted fat thigh, barbeque human ribs etc. 2 Ratletts work on the human skewer, one season the food and the other one pumps the bellow to roast quickly.
3. Grill
This structure is used to craft grilled recipes like Thigh burger, Human Sausage sandwich, Brain burrito etc. Moolet works on this too.
4. Human Cage
After capturing humans from the wild, you will bring them back and store them in this structure. This structure can hold upto 6 humans at once of any variety and body type.
5. Chest Storage
This is a normal storage box so that you can store items if you run out of inventory space in your bag. NOTE - This box cannot store live humans, they will suffocate inside.
6. Farm
Farm is used to plant and harvest vegetables and other crops like wheat, sunflower, tomato etc
UI
Below you can see the Crafting/Harvesting and Building menus in the game. We are going with a book design and inside the book there will be cutouts of papers that will act as buttons to interact. Also there are multiple other decorative parts around the book like bookmark and chiklet pencil.
Here you can see the inventory bag. The item holders inside the bag are not final. The bag is surrounded by designs that are actually buttons to interact. When you click on those designs, lets say when you click on a human sachet, it will filter the inventory list and show only human body parts like hands, legs, head etc. There are a total of 5 filters that you can apply on your inventory list :-
Human parts
Crops and resources
Key Items
Recipes
Tools
Notepad UI for tracking order requests and quests
Animations
Here are some animations for the humans.
Here are some new animations for our player character Chiklet :-
