Heyo, Youko here and it's time for the weekly (it's Friday in some places of the world) update!
We've gotten an insane amount of attention over the last few days due to the conversion, (The number of players suddenly spiked to over 280% !? 👀 ) so I'm happy to say that Steam has finally completed the conversion from free to paid! All players of Sierra Ops episode 1 should now have access to episode 2 through the same base game!
To access the new content, simply continue your save from episode 1 or start over from episode 1. Episode 2 should automatically start from where the story left off. You'll be able to experience a lot more of the story, officially meet our main cast, and mess around with the gameplay! It's roughly 5~8 hours long/ route depending on your playing and reading speed, so hopefully that's enough to sate your appetite! We worked really hard on it so we hope it was worth the wait 😔🙏
If you haven't seen the patch notes from yesterday, we've adjusted parts of episode 1 (now chapter 1) to cull a bit of the depression that made the beginning of the game excessively heavy. We've also adjusted achievements and added a new completionist achievement (how the heck have 100+ of you gotten it already!? 😮 ) and made changes to the title screen. If you've been waiting until episode 2 came out to start the game, your time is now!

Q: What is happening with Episodes 3 and 4?
A: As mentioned in our original announcement, episode 3 and 4 will be its own game.
Q: How are season pass owners affected by this second game?
A: We've ultimately decided that it would be the best for everyone to move to the second game (mostly for things like achievements, patches, etc). We will be handling out steam keys for season pass owners as long as they show proof of ownership. More details on this soon, so sit tight. This also applies to episode 2 owners, but you will be given a discount instead of the second game completely for free.
Q: Will we be getting more updates for episode 1 and 2?
A: Yes! We will continuously bug fix whenever new ones pop up. There will also be a bit more content coming once the second game that contains episode 3 and 4 comes out and maybe something a bit closer if our current plans work out. (hint hint, partial VO, female Junius option, arcade mode??) It'll be a free update for everyone so look forward to it. 👍

We've largely been focusing on preparing for the conversion, but work is being done on all fronts. I'll go into more detail next week since this update is long enough.
