We answered the most popular questions about the game 👇You can ask others in the new Discord channel!
Is it possible to play solo?
Yes, you will be able to play alone, but it will be more challenging since the game is designed for a large number of players. In the upcoming updates, smaller-scale maps will be added. You can also find friends in Discord!
What does it mean to escape alone or lose a friend?
There will be scenarios where you can rescue yourself without teammates, and there will also be specific maps with modes where everyone fights for themselves.
Plus, I’ve made it so you can still join your friends on normal missions, even if you've died.
Will there be new maps?
Yes. Each new map will be associated with a new era, which means a different style of gameplay and mechanics each time.
How often will new modes be released?
Modes will be released simultaneously with new maps, as each new map introduces a new mode and mechanics, with its own unique atmosphere and gameplay!
Why cyberpunk?
I had the idea that you are in a future city ruled by technology, where you operate as an underground organization. Using a portal in the black market, you fulfill orders across different points in time, bringing valuable artifacts that will play an important role in the future. I’ll share more about this later...
What kind of communication will be available in the game?
There will be voice chat, text chat, and a radio. Currently, the voice chat after death is in testing, and we want to make it unique: dead players will act like they’re whispering to prevent giving away hints to others.
Will there be in-game purchases?
Yes, only cosmetic items are planned: music, emotes, outfits, and more.
On which platforms will the game be released?
The game will first be released on PC, followed by a version for next-generation consoles.
Will there be cross-platform play?
Yes, with future updates.
How will the content be updated?
We plan to release updates regularly. Since I’m working alone and the project is large, I can’t specify exact dates. Most likely, updates will be weekly or monthly, depending on the scope. Bug fixes will also be incorporated, as this is my first project!
Will the game be available on MacOS/Linux?
Yes, in the future the game will also be available for MacOS and Linux.
What about optimization?
Maps are already optimized—much effort has been put into this. In testing, even an old laptop managed to run the game at 30 FPS. The main setting affecting FPS is "Shaders." If your PC is weak or you experience lag, it’s best to set this option to minimum.
Will the game be paid?
Yes, the game will be paid. There will also be discounts, and possibly key giveaways.
What are the system requirements?
You can check the system requirements on the Steam page. The game is designed to run smoothly on less powerful computers, allowing you to immerse yourself in a dark and beautiful atmosphere.
When will the game be released?
The game is scheduled to be released in 2025. We will announce the exact date later.
How many people are working on Don’t Peek?
I'm making this game alone — it’s my first project without experience.
When will there be PvP, and what will it be?
PvP will be implemented as a series of random events — when you go on a mission, one player gets infected and turns hostile. Your task is to kill him or escape.
Why random events? So it’s fair and there are no disputes over who is the antagonist. Plus, it makes the game more exciting because you never know what to expect! This mode will be added in future updates and is currently in testing and bugs fixing.
