Sorry this is taking so long! Bugs keep cropping up, which is to be expected when replacing a core system in a game, but I've also spent weeks chasing bugs that ended up being problems with Unity.
To make it up to you, I've revamped the hiring mechanic to be more pleasant and intuitive, which has also caused the insurance account to be simplified a lot. The insurance account didn't really impact the game in any meaningful way to make up for the time needed to manage it, but it is still present to add risk when trying to earn interest. You can get a detailed rundown by starting the "Hiring" and "Insurance" tutorials from the options menu.
I've also added SSAA, which is an anti aliasing method that will get rid of all those ugly pixels at object edges. It requires a lot in terms of performance, as it basically renders the game in double resolution, so it has been disabled by default. This is also the first Unity Asset Store plugin I've added to the game.
Finally, I just wanted to add that I have some pretty cool announcements coming up when this Alpha releases. HYPE!
Known issues:
Enabling "more shadows" might cause a crash due to a memory leak in Unity.
Enabling SSAA might cause an error and the red exclamation mark in the bottom right corner will appear, you can safely ignore it.
