Hello!
The version 0.5.2 - mainly a bugfix patch - is now available.
After releasing version 0.5.1, due to personal reasons I haven't been able to work on the game for a little while. I thought I would consolidate the next bugfix patch and content update patch in one, but since then a few major bugs that can cause crashes have been found so I decided to stick to our original plan and release this as a separate patch. I apologize for a long wait!
Version 0.5.2, build f0e
Fixed issues (Gameplay):
- Fixed that sufficiently large (more than ≈128KiB) suspended saves prevent the game from booting.
- Fixed the crash occurs getting Burn debuff while having Cracked Heart Pendant.
- Fixed that configuring "Aim" and "Shoot" separately in Steam Input can prevent you from shooting.
- Fixed that the debuff removal of Cracked Heart Pendant isn't working as intended.
- Fixed Paper Crane having extra 99 seconds of buff length.
- Fixed that Bubble Blower can deal damage to enemies before the stage starts properly. (Note: now bubbles can spawn but they won't damage anything until the battle starts)
- Fixed Zapped debuff being able to damage intangible Bakebake enemies of stage effect "Council of Ghosts".
- Fixed that trying to purchase Golden Idol while having full inventory lets you multiply your money indefinitely.
- Fixed Seija Doll multiplying your lowest stat by -1 *at all times*.
- Fixed that spending just enough money for your Loyalty Card perk level won't level you up.
- Fixed that events being able to give you Excellent Fortune, a Dark item.
- Fixed that after beating bosses, some of the projectiles can survive the bullet cancel for a frame and deal damage to you.
Fixed issues (Visual):
- Having 8+ hearts (from multiple Cracked Heart Pendants) now won't break UI.
- Fixed that pausing the game while screen shake effect is active results in continuous screen shake until unpaused.
- Fixed some typos in item descriptions.
Changes (visual):
- Chaged the tooltip for Toppings to reduce ambiguity.
- Added Rumia's stats to pause screen. Stat changes from buffs and debuffs will be included in these values.
- Added active Topping Effects to Snack window.
- You can now read descriptions for Auto-Attack Types of Snacks in shops without buying it.
- Tilting analog sticks can now toggle the control scheme from "Mouse + Keyboard" to "Steam Input Controller". (Note: in before versions you had to press any digital buttons to toggle)
- Added a small buffer to prevent mistakenly proceed the event right after entering event sequences while using mouse control (e.g. having Bunbunmaru Newspaper and ending the battle).
- Changed the icon of Paper Crane buff.
What can be expected in the next patch?
For version 0.6.0 we're planning to add an in-game encyclopedia to the game! We were planning to work on this later in the development, but I think this is the most requested feature now - so we'll be putting this feature in higher priority. Along with the encyclopedia, some new items, new events and balance changes will be added too.
The encyclopedia is very work-in-progress and I can't show it yet, so I'll just leave some pictures for events that will be added to the game ːyoidan_rabbitː
