Ok, let’s take a look.

Q1. I miss the old version of ToL. I could build anything anywhere I wanted; there was no restriction like a Warden Tree, and I could build the Arrow towers as many as I could. Please give me back the old version.
- From the ToL Steam community
A1. Actually we have no plan to roll it back at this moment.
I see you like the freedom and the unlimited construction, and I had a fun with the old ToL, too. However, we had many issues involved with the building system: the abandoned buildings made the server lag; land shortage issue that the new players could not find the land to settle. To solve this issue, the Rat system was introduced, but it was not the solution and made you annoyed and stressed out.
We have been thinking hard about the issues, and found that we need to set a designated area to build. Instead of going back to the past, we have decided to keep this system, improving the system.

Q2. I prefer the old version, because I love the free PvP, robbing, stealing, and destroying. On the other hand, I know some players like this system, as they don’t have to worry about robbery and theft. What if there were two servers, one for the old version, and the other for the new version. Or you could release the private server.
- From the official forum
A2. Actually, we have no plan to release a private server. Also it takes twice of time and manpower to run two servers: it is like developing two different games.
As the faction system will be improved, there are two areas: one for the peace, and the other for the free PvP. You could enjoy the peace and the free battle in one World at the same time. The outskirt of the land will be the peace area where you live without any threats, and the core of the land will be the free PvP zone. You could build your base in the PvP zone. Of course, it is ‘high risk, high return’ to live in the core zone, namely the Outlaw area.

Q3. I understand that you have been working on the new engine, not beginning from now. But why now? We haven’t got an update for months, and were waiting with great expectations, after the last update in September.
- From the official forum and a fansite
A3. I know you want the new combat system, and I apologize for the delay.
As mentioned in the previous feedback, the developers have been creating the new engine. Once the engine is finished, it is necessary to import the existing game features into the new engine. If the developers made the combat system on the old engine, they would need to re-make the new system for the new engine. To save time, they decided to put them together.
In fact, the new engine will be introduced much later. The developers were going to implement the combat system on the old engine first and re-make the system on the new engine later, even if they should do the same work twice. The new engine, however, will be done much earlier than expected, thus the developers have decided to combine the tasks and to put off the schedule. We are sorry about the delay again.

Q4. I read the feedback last week, and I like the point that the players will take the lead in the siege warfare, not the weapons. But I’m still worried about my base, being vulnerable while I’m not logged in or aftk. I think the defensive weapons should be stronger because they’ll protect my town when I’m not playing the game.
- From the official forum
A4. I understand what makes you worried. The developers and I are thinking hard to make the solution for this issue. If the towers get too strong, the defenders will overtake the attackers, thus no one would attack any castle.
I remember that you gave us many suggestions about this topic: “Destruction should be available only when the attacking and the defending forces agree”, “Set the siege time”, etc. The game design team has been discussing to improve the system, making the warfare fair, so that you can enjoy the battles without being stressed out.

Q5. The pic of the day: Alice’s choice
Lots of nice screenshots are on the Steam community! Let’s take a look. +_+
