Hello, adventurers,
It's Alice here! This week again, we picked some hot topics among the community, trying to answer your questions with this Adventure’s feedback
If you would like to read the last week's feedback, please go to:

Ok, let’s take a look.

Q1. The Dev diary was nice to read. Please show me more images!
- From the official forum and the ToL Steam community
A1. Last week I wrote the developer’s diary, and this week you have this feedback. In this article, we would like to explain with details about what you want to know. Next week you will have the diary again (with images, of course)
We will try sharing more images with you in the diary. Note that some works do not really have any images to show you; logics, programs, and formulae, for example.

Q2. I read the last week’s diary, and it said the new engine was done and would be imported soon. When do we play the new ToL? Is the new engine going to solve the game issues like the desync issue and the floating item problem?
- From the official forum
A2. The engine development is in the final stage: our developers are importing the game into the game engine. The process of importing includes the new combat system, the UI improvement, and some other complicated works. We will see the new-born ToL by March.
The sync will be improved, of course. In fact, the new game engine does not fix the desync issue: while the new combat system is being implemented, the sync will also be improved, since the combat is greatly changed.
Regarding the floating item issue, we will fix it by adding a physics engine. The word of “Engine” we have talked about is actually “the game engine”. Sorry to make you confused, but they are different things.

Q3. We know the mastery of Farming has been improved in the PTR, and it is not so bad, I think. I have an idea about the mastery and the quality of items. It is natural that I make/collect a better item as my mastery levels up, but what about the required level? Let's say my Blacksmithing is lv 30, and I am going to craft a Copper one-handed sword (Req. lv 17). I think it would be natural that the item should have higher quality than when my mastery was lv 17 or 20.
- From the ToL Steam community
A3. Thanks for the great idea! It is natural indeed that you got a better result when you are skillful; it also is great that the difference between your mastery and the required mastery makes a different result like you said. Your suggestion will be discussed with the game design team.

Q4. I read the diary last week and found you are going to add a quest system. I hope the quests are fun and enjoyable, not boring and grinding quests from an ordinary MMORPG like “Kill 40 Goblins”. And please don’t force a co-op: add good quests for a 1-man or small guild, too.
- From the official forum and the ToL Steam community
A4. The quest system will be added, but it does not mean the system will re-construct the game and its context. The reasons why we are preparing the quest system are two:
1. Guiding. The system will suggest you what and how to do. You might get lost during play, thinking of what to do after you achieved something. It will help you raise your character and guide a way to enjoy the game.
2. Making stages. The system will tell you what achievement you have made and which stage you are in; it also can tell you what you are going to do next.
Don’t worry, we are not going to add thousands of meaningless quests like some ordinary MMORPGs. We are not going to force you for a co-op: we are planning and will introduce some cool contents that you and your friends could enjoy with, though.

Q5. The pic of the day: Alice’s choice
Lots of nice screenshots are on the Steam community! Let’s take a look. +_+
