Hello, adventurers,
Are you enjoying the Halloween event in ToL? It was great to see you were riding on the brooms, taking screenshots :)
If you would like to read the previous feedbacks, please go to:

Ok, let’s take a look.

Q1. I read the previous feedback, and the developers were working on the new combat system. Well, the “new combat system” does not mean few changes for the weapon damage/durability only, does it? I guess it would bring more significant changes over the battle. Please tell me more about it.
- From the ToL Steam community and a fansite
A1. Good guess. The developers are working to renew the combat system.
Currently we have the semi-targeting system in ToL, but we will have the non-targeting system, once the developers finish the work. Non-targeting does mean you could hit multiple targets (i.e. monsters, or your enemies). Although you don’t specifically set a target at an opponent, it will be hit if it is in the range.
Secondly, it is the clever AI of the monsters. The advanced AI makes the monsters “alive”. As the monsters get clever, you would hardly beat them with no damage taken: they will find the way to hit you anyway.
Plus, the developers are improving the network system and Healing. As the network system is improved, hitting will be more accurate, thus the battle becomes even intense. Don’t worry, Healing (or Bandaging) will be changed and make the battle more fun.
Last but not least, you could remember if you read the previous feedback that a special feature will be added and make the combat more dynamic. I will tell you later once we are ready to show you.

Q2. I am playing ToL with my friends (Steam friends as well as real/offline ones). I have seen some of them left the game, because they felt so lonely. I think they wouldn’t have left, if we had someone to talk or play with. I know we have few players in the game, but what about the NPCs? NPCs could give you a quest and/or help you with farming.

A2. Visiting NPCs will be added in spring. They have different characteristics and features. For example, an NPC sells the items or the resources; one of them gives you a quest to achieve, or another one allows you to enable the Merman invade. “Characteristics” I mentioned means they will show you different reactions when you talk to them. It’s a little fun feature.

Q3. I feel I have less freedom after the Warden tree update. I miss the old version of ToL, where I could build wherever I want. Any chance to go back to the old ToL? I saw other MMOs that they have a number of the servers with different features/contents: Unlimited PvP server, PvE only server, etc. Why don’t you set two servers like “Old server” and “New server”?
- From the official forum and the ToL Steam community
A3. We have reasons to add the Warden tree system, but mainly for the game balance. In the previous build, there was no “standard” town or base in terms of the size, because any base could expand to any size. Thus, it was almost impossible to make a good balance with no standard. With a standard, it is good to introduce new contents.
The tree system is inevitable, and we have no plans to change or revert it. The specialized server system is a good idea. I am afraid that I can say yes right now, since it will be like making and updating two different games, which is a tough work for our small team.

Q4. I feel the territory of the tree is so small. My guild has active members of 3-4 with Lv 7 tree, but it is not enough for the walls; for Ranching and Farming. I guess the big guilds will feel the same, even if they have Lv 15 tree. Any plans to change it?
- From the official forum
A4. We keep testing the system and try to make improvement. As you mentioned, we see the Walls, the Boxes and a ranch take most of the space in your base. Since we are going to introduce more buildings and objects, the size of the territory will change.
An alternative is considered, too: you could use the space more efficiently with the building upgrade.

Q5. The pic of the day: Alice’s choice
Lots of nice screenshots are on the Steam community! Let’s take a look. +_+
