Hello, Adventurers,
Tree of Life finally leaves Early Access, 2 years after its first release! We could say the previous ToL is a different game from this new iteration, because the game has changed so much. Let’s have a look at which changes we brought.
[Game contents]
1. Warden Tree and Building system
Like back in the old days, you can build a structure anywhere in the world. On top, a Warden Tree will protect your buildings. As the Tree evolves, the territory becomes larger.
- The buildings within the territory are repairable even if they are completely destroyed. Items in the buildings are still safe.
- Repair All: you can pay the repair cost and restore the damaged/destroyed buildings back to full.
- Remove and re-plant the Warden Tree if you want to move your base.
- Tax: as long as you pay the tax, the protection will continue.
- Although the buildings disappeared because you did not pay the tax, all of them will be back once you plant the Tree again.
- Out of protection: buildings out of the area will be lost once they are destroyed.
2. Faction system
New Faction chat enables you to communicate with your allies, where you can share useful information and ask for or offer help. Together with this friendly force, you can defeat your enemies!
<3 Factions>
- Bastards of Freedom, The Knights of Roses, and The Adventure Company
< Faction system>
- Adventurers in the same faction cannot attack/be attacked by anyone from the same faction.
- Faction chat: able to communicate with anyone in the same faction
- Enemy factions: except in Novice Areas, PvP is available anywhere in the world.
3. Guild system
Together with your allies, you can form a group and fight together against the enemy. You can create your own guild or join another guild. The enemy could invade you at any time: build up a strong base and defend it with your friends!
- Recruit: can use the facilities in the guild territory; cannot build/move/remove a structure in the territory.
- Regular: can use the facilities including Regular’s Vault in the guild territory; can build/move/remove a structure in the territory.
- Elder: can use the facilities including Elder’s Vault in the guild territory; can build/move/remove a structure in the territory.
- Sub Master: can use the facilities including Master’s Vault in the guild territory; the Masters have all the permissions except a few critical authority ones and they can substitute the Guild Master.
- Guild Master: The creator of the guild and has all authority.
4. Mastery system
The 21 masteries are categorized into Living and Combat. Combine the masteries and create your own character: there is no pre-defined Class in ToL.
- Max level: you can level up a mastery from 1 to 50
- Mastery Points: 320 points per character
- Level up/down/lock: when you used up all of your points, you can level down a lv 50 mastery and subsequently level up another mastery.
Content Balancing
The content balance has been improved for a better gameplay experience. After a careful design process, resources and monsters have been redistributed according to the area.
- Item craft/collecting resources: improved to collect resources faster and to craft items more efficiently.
- Efficiency when collecting resources: as your masteries level up, you can collect resources faster.
- Craft: Craft All in one click.
Apart from hunting monsters to gain coins, you will craft items and sell them to the NPC or trade them with other adventurers.
- Sell items to the NPC: Mr. Boboo will buy your items. Note that he buys “Sellable” items only.
- Trade items with others: after building a Market stall, you can sell your items or buy something you need from another adventurer.
6. New Items and Mounts
Good news for you: new in-game mounts. Chicken and Pig have been added as a mount; Cattle has been re-worked; you can tame and ride a Reindeer, too.
- Tamed Hen/Rooster: able to craft when Ranching Lv. 8
- Tamed Pig/Sow: able to craft when Ranching Lv. 22
- Tamed Bull/Cow: able to craft when Ranching Lv. 39
- Tamed Reindeer/Reindeer buck: able to craft when Ranching Lv. 50
New weapons and armors have been introduced; the old equipment has been redesigned, too. You will see them in the game later on.
- Decorations have also been added: you can place the decos and make your town more comfortable and beautiful.
- You can collect the blueprint of a decoration from a specific monster.
- With the blueprint and the materials, you can craft special decorations!
