As promised, the visuals for the game have undergone a complete makeover. Everything is brighter, more detailed, and fits the style that I’ve wanted the game to have. With hundreds(!) of new tiles and more variations for props and other objects, it feels like a completely different game than before.
Along with the visual upgrade, there’s been tons of improvements in terms of guard behavior and fixing bugs. Almost everything has undergone a complete rewrite to make things easier to build on in the future.
The main menu/pause screen has also been rewritten from scratch, along with several changes to saving and loading; saves can also be renamed in the main menu to help keep track of them.
This has obviously been a very large undertaking and there’s still a long way to go, but progress is still being made, little by little each day.
