Hello everyone!
We have quite a few updates for the Ping Profit demo, including fixes and improvements based on bugs and feedback we've discovered since launch. Those updates are currently being worked on and will be rolling out soon. Thank you to all who have played and provided feedback!
But before diving deeper into those changes, we wanted to share a bit about something important that happened this week.....
Our Trip to GDC
This week the team attended GDC (Game Developers Conference) in San Francisco, and it was an incredible experience. We had the opportunity to meet and talk with a wide range of people across the game industry - from solo developers building their first projects, to marketing creators discussing how to align games with events and communities, to experienced studio founders sharing honest stories about what worked (and what didn’t) for their games.
These conversations were incredibly valuable. Hearing different perspectives about development, player expectations, and community building gave us a lot to think about.

A Moment to Re-Evaluate
One of the biggest takeaways from GDC was realizing that it's important to step back sometimes and ask the right questions about your game.
As a result, we’re going to take some additional time this month to revisit and refine Ping Profit’s core gameplay loop.
We want to make sure we’re building something that is not just functional - but genuinely fun and engaging for players.
Some of the questions we're asking ourselves right now include:
How do we keep the gameplay rewarding instead of feeling like tedious work?
How can we better showcase the creativity and systems that make running a digital infrastructure empire exciting?
How do we stay true to the vision of Ping Profit while ensuring players stay engaged and enjoy the experience?

What This Means
This doesn’t mean development is stopping - far from it. It means we're taking the time to make sure we're heading in the right direction for the long-term health of the game and the community around it.
Alongside revisiting the gameplay loop, we will continue working on:
Bug fixes and demo improvements
System stability and performance
Iterating on gameplay systems based on feedback
Our goal has always been to build a game that players enjoy spending time with, and sometimes the best step forward is taking a moment to make sure the foundation is strong.
Thank You
We also want to say thank you to everyone who has played the demo, shared feedback, and supported Ping Profit so far. Your input is incredibly valuable and helps guide the direction of the game.
We'll continue sharing updates as we move forward and look forward to showing you what comes next.
