Hey, welcome to Tamer Town Dev Diary!
From now on, we’ll be posting a new dev update every other Friday each one focusing on a different part of our game.
We want to share what we’ve been working on and take you along our journey toward release!
If you have any questions about development, or just want to hang out with the devs, join us on our Discord, Reddit (/r/Tamertown), or the Steam Forum.
Meet our Professor !
At the very beginning of the game, the Professor arrives on the island with you as part of your starting crew. You’ve known each other for quite some time, and she’s one of the few people who truly understands how mysterious this place is.
Before the city even rises from the ground, she sets up her temporary research camp - eager to uncover the island’s countless secrets. As you explore, discover new Mokitons, and bring her rare materials, she’ll reveal more and more about the island’s tangled history, the power that flows through it, and what you can truly achieve here.
Research Center
The Professor will work in the Research Center, the heart of your city’s scientific progress. If you’ve been following our devlogs, you’ve already seen glimpses of this building: it’s where new technologies are tested, and the next stage of the city’s evolution begins.
Crazy or maybe "unconventional"?
When it comes to personality, the Professor is all about focus and precision. She has a mind wired for numbers, formulas, and data and while her sense of humor might be… unconventional, she’s not cold. She gets lost in her calculations, but she genuinely cares abot the people around her and the discoveries that might change their lives.
What’s Next
Next time, we’ll dive into how the buildings in our town work - including arenas, shops, houses, and more!
If you have any questions, please be sure to ask them, and we can answer them in future dev diaries as well.
That’s it for now.
We’ll see you in the next dev diary.
Thanks for reading.
