Greetings,
It's been a hot minute since our last update, I believe we're due for another one ;)
We're glad to share that we've been slashing our way through our development milestones and we're on a very exciting path forward. Here's a quick recap of what we've been cooking up behind the scenes (and several new footage gifs) Stayed tuned till the end for some very exciting teaser.
*Please note gifs are heavily optimized because of Steam max file sizes for posts. Cheers.
Gameplay & Combat Evolution
We've been putting a lot of work into refining the movement system, aligning the move sets, and adding new abilities for Akran. We want to ensure the combat feels heavy, but also responsive and f*cking cool.
Bathoryn now has more elemental powers dialled in and the Beast wolf form has received some sick upgrades that make you feel like an unstoppable monster, slashing your way through the enemies.
You can also now headbang in Beast wolf form!
New Environments and Familiar Faces
While our early days were primarily focused on Wolf Town, the world is extending rapidly as we build out several new stages for you to explore and conquer.
This includes a tutorial location Castle Wolfenoak, new places like The Docks and The Catacombs among others.
Alongside this, we're chiselling away at the story, featuring some familiar faces for the saga fans out there ;)
It's Hagatha! Here's a throwback to her appearance in Slain!
Onwards
We're currently head-down in production, and we are dedicated to bring a really kick ass experience. It feels like it's really coming together - we can't wait to share more with you, it's wicked.
THE Question
We've been getting a lot of questions about a demo and it's approximate timing. Well, whilst we can't say too much just yet - we can share this: keep an eye out VERY SOON. Wink.
From the team's side, we want to say thanks for being here and the support, it's awesome hearing your thoughts and seeing your reactions to new sneak peeks. If you wanna stay up to date with the freshest sneak-peaks at new footage, make sure to follow Steel Mantis on twitter, or join our Discord server. Thanks so much for sticking around and helping this game happen.
See you very soon!
