Hey guys old and new! Just a quick heads-up that 《Back：fade》 launches tomorrow (April 30th)!
Quick recap:
If you bought 《Undead Realm：Ego》, email me at [email protected] to claim your free key.
If you bought the 《Back》 but missed the 《Undead Realm：Ego》 key, you can claim it now too.
Why do I keep doing these "buy one, get the next free" deals? Honestly, I’m not 100% satisfied with my game yet. Starting from 《try and love》 → 《Back》 → 《Undead Realm：Ego》.I’ll keep this up until I feel i’ve nailed it. Buy 《Back：fade》 now, and you’ll get my next game free too!
Launch time note: We’re aiming for after work hours so everyone can jump in fresh. With interactive movies, early leaks can hurt sales (looking at you, streamers 👀). No hard feelings – just want everyone to enjoy it together. Timing might adjust slightly based on real-time data.
Now, my totally biased pre-launch review of 《Back：fade》:
(You know me – I’ll always try to outdo my last game. Maybe not always "better", but definitely bolder. If I fall, I'll just get back up 💪)
Story:
i ditched the "run through endless rooms" formula from 《Back》 after guys's feedback. Went full psychological horror this time with a proper narrative. Tried an "infinite flow" storyline – not perfect, but a step up. Pacing’s slower than 《Back》since we’re prioritizing storytelling. (Though I’ll take this "slow" over 《Undead Realm：Ego》 any day! 😅) PS: 《Back3:XXX》’s already cooking with a wild concept 👀
Production:
Upgraded to 2K footage (still shot on 4K gear – those files are BEASTS). More actors = way trickier camera work. Huge shoutout to our crew – imagine hauling heavy cameras all night in 10°C weather! ❄️ Biggest regret? Had to scrap our "choose your path" room exploration due to budget/time. What’s left might feel less interactive, but we prioritized main story completion.
Acting:
Let’s be real – we’re no Hollywood. But watching our actors give their all (like the lead girl retaking soaked scenes all night)… how could I demand more? Special shoutout to our gorgeous protagonist – yes, we’re keeping that "beauty + chills" vibe from 《Undead Realm：Ego》. Pure horror’s tough with our budget, but we’ll keep blending scares with eye candy as we grow 🎥
From 《try and love》 to now, every project pushes a bit further. Thanks for sticking with us through the stumbles. We’re still learning and improving, so please bear with us. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts tomorrow!
Cheers,
Your perpetually-trying developer friend
