Two Major Alpha Updates, Back to Back!
Two major Kanka alpha releases have arrived back to back!
We have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes, and although it has been an intense development period, we are incredibly happy to finally share the results with you.
Together, these two updates introduce major new systems, expand Kanka’s progression loop, and connect several core parts of the game into a more complete experience.

v0.8.0-alpha — Inventory, Research, and Dustline Defense
v0.8.0-alpha brings inventory management, blueprint research, crafting, mission progression, and deployable defenses together as part of one connected gameplay loop.
The update includes:
- A rebuilt inventory and loadout experience
- Persistent blueprint and recipe research
- Data-driven weapon stats
- Friendly deployable AI turrets
- A new Dustline Camp mission chapter
- Improved co-op objective synchronization
- FieldOS interface and mission presentation updates
During the new Dustline Camp mission sequence, players can discover a turret blueprint, research it, craft deployable turret kits, prepare defensive positions, and fight alongside their automated defenses.

v0.8.1-alpha — Rarity, Armor Extensions, and Equipment Progression
v0.8.1-alpha expands Kanka’s itemization and character-building foundations.
The update includes:
- Six item rarity tiers
- Modular Armor Extensions
- Equipment level and attribute requirements
- Active weapon stat handling
- Improved equipment comparisons
- Expanded character stat integration
- Additional interface, localization, and co-op improvements
These systems lay the groundwork for deeper equipment choices, clearer item identities, and more meaningful character builds in future updates.
