Hey everyone,
Over the past two months, we’ve completely reworked the Painted Kingdoms demo.
The whole experience has been improved: progression, upgrades, biome systems, quality-of-life, and a long list of fixes.
Here’s what’s new:
🌱 Painted Biomes now evolve through player choices
Each biome can be upgraded through multiple evolution paths, shaping your strategy and its interactions with the rest of your kingdom.
⚙️ Every biome now has its own unique mechanics
Forest spreads roots that slow enemies
Meadow lets you manage and assign rabbits
Lake introduces a full water-network system
…and more.
🗼 A fully redesigned upgrade system
With 30+ new upgrades, including entirely new tower evolutions, effects, and visuals.
🎴 Stamps & Seals
Unlock new stamps and seals to personalize your runs and adjust the game’s difficulty to your playstyle.
🏆 Challenges & Leaderboards
New ways to test your builds, optimize strategies, and compete for high scores!
🗺️ A brand-new demo level
The demo itself has been redesigned to better showcase the new version of the game.
✨ Plus many gameplay improvements, controller updates, balancing changes, new effects, and lots of bug fixes.
If you tried Painted Kingdoms during The French Game Awards, the current demo is already a much better experience than the original version, and we’ll keep improving and expanding it over time.
