It’s time for an update on the Development of Hillshade Farm and some exciting news!
Big news from the farm!
We’ve entered the final polishing phase for Early Access and the Demo, and most of the core systems are now in place! This also means that there's a new trailer in the making! :)
What's new?
One of the biggest new additions?
🐴 Horse riding!
You can now explore your land on horseback, making travel smoother, faster, and way more immersive. Explore hills and valleys, and enjoy the beautiful nature vibes of Hillshade Farm!
How does it work?
Horse can be purchased at the Animal Market, and currently is the most expensive animal in the game. There is a variety of horses looks-wise, where you can choose from plenty of horse breeds!
Like all animals in Hillshade Farm, horses have an Advanced AI system, meaning you will have to take care of your horse, just as if you went and got yourself a horse in real life!
These systems are still in polishing phase, and will be showcased soon in more depth. :)

New Main Area! Kindale Village
A village has been added to the map, with new areas where you’ll be able to sell your products and interact with the world more meaningfully.
It is still in production phase, and will be included in Early Access only. More content on it coming soon! Villagers, Life, Unique Trades, Interactions and Stories and much more!
Player House Customization
The player house is fully customizable; change the entire look, upgrade it, and decorate it freely using a huge library of items. Make it truly yours.
All exterior and interior changes can be made, with tons of options to change the looks of every part of the house.
Other changes can be made by acquiring items that you can place freely, such as furniture, devices and decorations!
With most systems in place, the focus now is on polish, balancing, and small touches that bring the whole experience to life.
This will be the most fun phase, where we will see drastic changes in each aspect of the game as everything is about to be tied together! To celebrate, We’re planning to release the Playtest version in just 10 days, with a full demo coming in August.
