👋 Operators,
It’s been almost a week since the Endless update went live, and we’ve been keeping a close eye on how it’s playing out. To be completely honest with you: endless runs are way too long. We never intended Endless to turn into a multi-hour marathon or feel like a grindy chore.
We want endless runs to be intense, punchy, and respectful of your time.
⚙️ What’s Changing?
More Aggressive Scaling: We're significantly ramping up the difficulty scaling so runs naturally wrap up around 50–75 rooms rather than room 500+.
Additional Scaling Parameters: We're adding scaling to more different aspects of the run, while not 100% set in stone things like enemy spawning rate, movement speed, resistance etc. will be scaled now. This will also ramp the difficulty and reduce grind.
Higher Score Gains: To keep the leaderboards fair and competitive, score gains are getting a massive boost. In theory, the same build that used to push room 500 will net a similar score around room 75.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: In-Progress ENDLESS Run Wipe
Because of the deep mechanical changes to scoring and room scaling, any in-progress Endless run will be reset when the patch drops.
(Note: Standard game mode runs are completely safe, this only affects Endless mode!)
⏰ Patch Time: Thursday 27th August at 11:00 CEST
💾 Action Needed: You will NOT be able to use "Continue" on Endless runs started before the update. If you currently have an active Endless run going, please make sure to finish it before Thursday at 11:00 CEST so your score is properly committed to the leaderboards!
We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but it's necessary to make sure the leaderboard math stays clean and functional for everyone.
