Hello Scarabs! ːscarabsignː
We hope folks have been enjoying Act Two! We've been watching your streams, reading your posts and reviews, and collecting your feedback and bug reports - so thank you to everyone who has been talking about the game across the internet. 💜
We've got a little roundup of our launch week content here for you, just in case you've missed any of the updates we've shared on our socials this week.
✍ Scarab Aptitude Test
Do you think you've got what it takes to be a Scarab in the world of Ambrosia Sky? Part scientist, part disaster relief specialist, and part zealot - does your belief in human immortality run deep enough? ✨
(psst, you *really* need to buy into the whole "human immortality / Ambrosia Project" thing)
In case you're joining us for the first time, we also have two prior personality quizzes you can complete:
Which "Ambrosia Sky" character are you?
What kind of "Ambrosia Sky" fungi are you?
📺 Exploring Ambrosia
In the weeks leading up to the launch of Act Two, we ran a weekly series in which we examined every nook and cranny of Act One's levels with some members of the development team. You can find the first episode above, and the other six episodes are also all archived on our YouTube channel.
With the power of "ToggleDebugCamera" we no-clip our way through the fungus & fruit and to the heart of every level. Come for the development insights, stay to find out what the exo-fungus tastes like.
✉ Scarab Initiate Letter
We sent out some mail to our content creator pals, and part of the kit included this letter to brand-new Scarab initiates. I'd say Dalia Volokova herself received this letter as well, but once you play Act Two, you'll notice she... strays from her original mission.
I hope it gives you a sense of the enormity of the mission that lies before you.
🎁 Capy Castaway x Ambrosia Sky Giveaway!
We are celebrating the dual launch of Ambrosia Sky: Act Two and Capy Castaway with our friends over at Kitten Cup Studio! They are fellow Toronto developers & wonderful people all around, so you can enter to win a Steam key for both games for you and a friend on our Bluesky and Instagram accounts.
Get your entries in before August 10th! Only one entry per person; no purchase is required.
👨🎨 Boxart Design Stream
Next week over on our Twitch channel, I'll be designing brand-new box art for Ambrosia Sky, inspired by three titles (if we can get to all three!) that influenced our game: Prey (2017), Metroid Prime, and Powerwash Simulator. The stream begins at 10am ET / 7am PT.
The above box art is inspired by Bungie's Marathon (2026)!
