Thanks to everyone who tried the game and shared feedback! Tutorial & UI:
simplified the first-time player experience (FTUE) and the camera tutorial
updated the Game Info page with clearer camera controls
improved the train station popup and Game Info panel
added a marker on the menu button if there's a newly unlocked collectible
added a shortcut button to open the Collections screen directly from the collectibles popup
added language flags to the language selection menu for easier navigation
adjusted scrolling speed with mouse scroll in menus
updated orbital station hint to make it clearer that it requires an Orbit Generator building and the orbit set up
Improvements:
Force Fields now clearly indicate whether a building is inside their area of effect and whether the interaction is beneficial or detrimental
missing resources are now highlighted in red in the Resources Overlay for better readability (overlay next to the cursor when placing buildings, thanks @Pluto for the suggestion!)
added a new music track
(initial run) language should match system language if supported
added save games backup system (in case of save game corruption some progress might be lost but the game should be able to revert to previous save file instead of losing all progress)
Fixes:
fixed train connection points sometimes flickering while hovering
fixed the Complete Expedition Stage button occasionally remaining active when it shouldn't
As always, thank you for playing AstroScaper and helping us improve the game. If you have any suggestions or spot any issues, we'd love to hear your feedback! 🚀
