Welcome again, Peacemakers;
We are excited to announce a brand-new feature in The Peacemakers: missile defense turrets inspired by the US Navy’s RIM-116 launcher.
Unlike traditional tower defense games where turrets handle most of the fight, in The Peacemakers turrets are designed as support units. You remain on the battlefield in full FPS action, fighting alongside your defenses.
How it works
Collect loot (materials and parts) during missions.
Before base defense missions, use your resources to build and place turrets of your choice.
Once deployed, turrets provide extra firepower while you stay in control of the battle.
Firing modes
Heat-Seeking Missiles: lock onto targets with smooth homing.
Unguided / Mortar-Style: fires in a parabolic arc, dealing splash damage.
Key features
Smooth aiming and rotation with target scanning and priority.
Area-of-effect missile damage.
Full customization: choose which turret to deploy depending on your resources and the tactical situation.
Looking ahead
Missile defense is only the beginning. In future updates, more turret types will be introduced, including systems inspired by C-RAM with extremely high rates of fire, as well as futuristic options such as laser and plasma-based weapons. Each turret will bring new tactical possibilities and challenges, allowing you to adapt your strategy to different missions and enemy types.
Share your thoughts
We would love to hear your feedback on this new feature. Should turrets remain purely supportive, or would you like them to have a greater role in certain missions? How strong should they feel in order to be useful without taking the spotlight away from FPS combat? Would you experiment with different turret types and firing modes, or focus only on the strongest ones?
