We are excited to introduce our game in development, "Back of Beyond."
Deep in the layered forests lies a mysterious town perpetually shrouded in mist. The unique geography here, where cold winds from Yellow Rock Mountain mix with mist from geothermal springs, creates a dreamlike atmosphere. The townspeople living in this mist have developed their own unique belief system...
In the game, players take on the role of the town's acting mayor, shouldering the responsibility of guiding the townspeople's faith and maintaining the town's operations. By developing the village, arranging follower positions, and wisely using various building facilities, players need to accumulate enough faith within limited rounds to pass the tests of the dark gods.
Core gameplay combines strategic card elements and resource management:
- Use followers (cards) to gain faith and money resources
- Build and place buildings to create optimal spatial configurations
- Accumulate sufficient faith before each faith check
Our team is working toward creating a card management game with unique art style and strategic depth. In upcoming dev logs, we'll share more about card system design, character art, dark god mechanics, and more!
