Hello!
I’ve spent the last four months improving the AI and polishing the game's core. The new demo version provides a clear look at the direction the game is headed. A key part of the gameplay takes place on what I call the Global Map. The player’s task is to prevent the enemy from capturing allied settlements and to help allied forces liberate occupied ones. To achieve this, you must develop your squad, select targets, and complete missions.
Key Mechanics
● Settlements: These consist of key locations such as warehouses, railway stations, and factories. To capture a settlement, you must establish control over all of its constituent locations.
● Logistics: This is a vital component of combat. Settlements use resources (food, water, etc.) to create squads on the global map. A settlement's military potential is limited by the current amount of resources available at its key locations.
● Resource Exchange: I have developed a subsystem for resource exchange between locations. Settlements create supply squads as needed (which also require resources to produce). These squads physically move resources between locations; intercepting or destroying them disrupts enemy logistics. If a settlement’s resources are depleted, it can no longer form military units for defense or for assaulting enemy positions.
Work in Progress
I am currently working on features that are not yet included in the current version:
● Agent Recruitment & Infiltration: This will allow you to embed operatives into settlements to perform missions at key locations and gather intelligence.
● Outpost Construction: Outposts will be a crucial element for controlling territory and maintaining your unit's combat effectiveness.
Thank you very much for your attention and support!
