We’ve been heads-down in development, and it is finally time to share a major evolution for Monster Punk.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Monster Punk has grown into a high-stakes motor-sport. We are talking arenas, roaring crowds, rhythmic chants, and all the brutal beauty of a Fantasy Punk sporting event.
WHY THE CHANGE?
Making games, much like any art, involves deep searching, experiments, and sometimes tough decisions. Recently, we had to look into the mirror of reality and make a major choice for the game and for you, the players.
Originally, we aimed for an open-world experience focused on raiding guarded bases. However, through extensive playtesting, we realized something crucial: the open-world structure wasn't enhancing the game. In fact, it was investing time into the less fun parts of the experience. We found that the open-world didn't suit the wild stunts and high-speed combat that make Monster Punk special.
Thank god for playtesting! It allowed us to see that the heart of this game is pure action. We decided to cut the filler and put you exactly where the excitement is: The Ring.
WELCOME TO THE ARENA
Now, when your turn comes, you will step into the ring to the sound of a cheering crowd for a timed challenge.
The Action: Fight high-speed robots, capture guarded relics, and pull off massive stunts to secure the highest score.
The Showdown: Every tournament culminates in a high-tension 1v1 fight for the win against the top contender.
The Climb: You will start in the rookie leagues and climb the ladder, participating in new events across new locations. The challenges will grow, requiring you to sharpen your Monster Punk driving and timing while upgrading your truck to become the Champion of Champions.
NEW WAYS TO PLAY: LOCAL CO-OP & PVP
We are also incredibly excited to announce that you don’t have to dominate the arena alone. We have added Local Multiplayer! You can now play against your friends in PvP or team up in Co-op mode to destroy those robots together.
