Hello! Some bug fixes has been made to the demo of Pokitaire, mainly related to how cards aren't fully disabled when the game is paused or not in play.
Fix bug of being able to deal cards when no cards are selected
Fix bug of being able to break Tutorial Deck's script via quick dealing
Selected cards are now deselected when game is paused
Ok, with that out of the way, now for the marketing updates. It has been decided;
Pokitaire will be released at Oct 21st 2025!!
The full game will be both available here and itch.io in around 2 months, so mark your calendars! If you're wondering what the progress of the full game is looking like, believe it or not, ever since version 1.3, I've been purely working on the finale of the game. The nature of this game's difficulty curve comes from decks becoming more and more complicated and I have been trying my best to keep the code future proof as the decks gets more complicated, but lets just say the finale has my future proofing defeated and a lot of time is now being spent rewriting massive parts of the game to support to ever increasing complexity of the final decks.

Progress, even though slower than usual, is still going fine and two months should be more than enough redundancy if any other detours arise. In the meantime, y'all should try out the demo and wishlist the game as usual, if you don't want to do the usual, then you should check out my GMTK 2025 game jam entry "The EAPTT Initiative"! It's a platformer I made in 4 days, and to be honest, I did pretty bad! Position wise. But unlike my 3 other GMTK jam entries, I do like this game enough that I would love to work on it more, so I might update it to polish it, since I didn't get the chance to do that in the 96 hours, or The EAPTT might be the next game after this one 👀.
Try "The EAPTT Initiative" here!
Anyway, that's all for today's marketing devlog! Hope you enjoy the new update and the new game and see y'all in the next one!
