The next Early Access content update - Chapter 3 - is coming nearer and nearer, but we still need to add some art and sounds, fix bugs and balance the gameplay.
This week we got our very first negative review (in Portuguese) on Steam Early Access. We take reviews seriously and try to learn from them so we can make a better game. The review wasn't negative about the game itself (fortunately!), but about our slow delivery of content. We also wish to deliver faster, but creating and finishing a decent game takes a lot of time! A lot more than we anticipated back in August when we released on Steam Early Access. The interesting thing about the review is that it's from a big fan who has a 290 hours track record of playing Caromble!, who is very positive about the game, and who provides some great quotes:
Game with a lot of potential
The physics that created this game are an absurdly magnificent thing
Caromble! captivates me and I want to play more and more
(*) Quotes from user review translated from Portuguese; as best the internet can do.
Those are actually very kind words! Of course we don't take our player's feedback lightly, but it takes time to make Caromble! the brick-breaker you've always dreamed of.
To hear our ideas about Caromble! on Steam Early Access please watch our Early Access team video (if you haven't already): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSm2pXs8LZU
Always feel free to drop us a comment to help us improve Caromble!.
How do you think about our content updates? Should we make them smaller or should we keep updating per chapter (=4 levels)?
