Hello, knights and ladies!
Another one of your long-standing wishes is partially fulfilled with this update. The game now features skills for all squads of the first faction. Many effects and sounds are not final, but I couldn't wait any longer. I want to hear your impressions right now and adjust the abilities accordingly.
I'd appreciate your feedback: what you liked about the new skills, what could be improved, and what is simply unclear. It's especially important for me to understand: is it easy to keep track of what each squad does with different clicks? Is it overwhelming? This is a key question for me — I'd be grateful for your honesty.
My only wish: don't be afraid to experiment and try all the possibilities. Remember that you have four click options: on the squad itself, on an enemy, on an ally, or on the map. Click all the buttons and see what happens. Each squad of the first two tiers has its own unique skill — you'll get to discover them like a box of chocolates.
The full list of changes in this update is below.
Gameplay
Added active skills and passive traits for all troop types.
Another feature you've been asking for: the ability to adjust battle speed. It can now be sped up fivefold. This can be done in the settings menu.
Before the first battle, you're given one item to choose from, so you can decide which strategy to follow right away.
Interface
In case of equal initiative, arrows appear above the squads indicating which one can be selected.
Only the most important information now pops up above a squad.
Tooltips now appear over icons in item and skill descriptions, explaining what each stat or mechanic does.
Hovering over effects shows their duration.
Effects and actions are now separated in the interface.
Initiative numbers are now displayed clearly, matching the colors and font used on the battlefield.
The settings menu has been completely revamped. It's now split into logical tabs for convenience.
Hero panels are now hidden by default — you can turn them on with a button at the bottom of the screen.
The skip button for item or squad selection now appears above the selection screen, allowing you to skip what's being shown separately.
The ESC key (and its gamepad equivalents) now allows you to exit battle or the game, and also closes the last opened windows.
The buttons under the squire have been expanded, so text now displays correctly in any language.
The disband squad tab now shows how much gold will be refunded.
Visual
The title screen has been changed. It should now display correctly on devices with small resolutions.
Bug Fixes
Displaying stats by holding the right mouse button over a squad in battle now works correctly.
Items are now awarded correctly after reaching the tenth victory.
The "Continue" button no longer appears when launching the game for the first time.
Fixed the display of wins and remaining lives after the tenth victory.
Many thanks to everyone who leaves comments and helps make the game better! Please don't hesitate to keep doing so — maybe you'll even make it into the game's credits, like some testers from this update. Write your reviews on the demo, add the game to your wishlist, and tell your friends about it!
