Last month has mostly been work on the AI. Here is a gif of it in action:
What you're seeing is the test-version of the AI. It picks a random piece, rotates it a random number of turns, then calculates the most effective place to put it. It does this calculation for every spot within three spaces of a tile. My last month has mostly been spent making, debugging and optimizing this code.
The moves it makes are quite good. I sometimes see a more effective move it could have made instead, but it's more often that it outsmarts me.
The next thing will be to balance it, through lots of playtesting, so that it gives the right amount of challenge to every player.
