Hi everyone!
Thank you all for your support and your wishlists! I'm making this announcement partly to share what's been going on with me, but also to keep you posted about the upcoming release of Noir Total!
As you may have noticed, the original release has been pushed back quite a lot (the game was initially planned for February 2026). This delay is of course due to my personal life, which has changed a great deal since I started working on this project. In the meantime, I left my job and started a new venture of my own, which took up a considerable amount of time and didn't really leave me the availability I needed to finish the game (even though it was already well underway when I "let it drop," right after the Sorbonne event, to be concrete). I actually didn't develop anything at all on the project for almost a year, and that's why it ended up so delayed! The September 4th date, by the way, was just a "random" placeholder I picked, since I didn't know exactly when I'd find the motivation to put time into it again.
But that moment has now come! I got back to work on the project last week, and I've already been able to add 3 features that were planned for the final product. The game almost certainly won't be ready for the September 4th deadline, but it should be ready this autumn, or even sooner! (I only have a few maps left to build, plus a handful of features and finishing touches…)
So this is the announcement of the project's return, and of a new change to the release date!
I'm happy to answer any questions you might have and would love to chat with you about the game, especially if you have feedback on the demo!
Thank you, and I wish you a good end of August,
Copau
