Welcome back!
I hope you liked the unstable release. What was disabled in this build because it didn't worked correctly is „Siegfrieds Axe“. Now we can show you the first screenshots. What is so special about this axe? It adapts to the form of the tree. This means you can remove a one meter layer of wood in a single step. Crafting is necessary if you want to use this axe. You will still start with the old one.
Here are some screenshot (before applying the axe):
Look how it adapts to the wood voxels!
And here is a screenshot which shows how it looks after you applied the axe:
There are no remains on the sites! Is this cool?
What currently makes us problems is the glass. It needs to be integrated in the deferred renderer. And as glass is transparent it needs to be sorted so that it is drawn in the correct order. Currently we are working on this. This means that we have to split the glass mesh into triangles, then sort the individual triangles and then pack them again before sending them to the GPU. And this has to be done every frame! This is currently not working. Here are some screenshots of the unsorted glass:
Glass with shadow (I like this!):
Looks nice, or?
Should we make the glass more transparent? What do you think?
