The roster is nearing completion as we move on to the next team, Team Oni. Please note that all gameplay shown on the gifs are still a work in progress and are subject to change.

Pro: The strongest character in terms of hitting power with a devastating abilities to match.
Con: Very slow and has a heavy feeling to her movements.
There is no other youkai who exemplifies power than an oni, and Yuugi is the best example of such. You may be fooled at first as her serves seem to be relatively average, and her movements are quite slow. But its when she spikes the ball when you see her brutal strength. The ball goes soaring like a cannonball, and doing just as much damage to the opponent's wall. It only takes a few hits to shatter their wall and with its incredible speed, the opponent may be tempted to remain near the wall like a goalie. This is when you trick them by utilizing her average serves and lobby the ball at the very center of the field. You'll have the opponent scramble to the front of their field to save the ball, in which you can then destroy them with a burst of projectile. Yuugi truly is a real monster when you know when to use her abilities.

Her projectile is a burst of danmaku. Much like a shot gun, she will blow a great amount of danmaku in a short and quick burst. And we mean it when we say quick and short as it disappears just as quickly as it appeared, giving it a very short range compared to every other character's projectile. This attack is best use when the opponent is close to the center. If the opponent plays it safe and keeps their distance, some of the danmaku from this burst does travel a longer distance, but it it is slow and uncontrollable. It's best to use this as intended and wait for the opponent to get close to her range.
Her bomb is a powerful shockwave that shakes the screen and destroys all of the opponent's projectiles. The shock can even stop the ball in its tracks.

Her desperation has her turn around and shatter her own wall. With a powerful punch, Yuugi will destroy her wall in order to create shards. Depending on how much health the wall had, you can have up to a thousand shards flying through the playing field, which the opponent will have to deal with on top of any other obstacle they are facing already. Needless to say, this is a risk as it leaves your side of the field open for an easy point. Note that this move does not transfer towards the next rally as all shards, regardless of whether they are on-screen or not, will be removed when a rally ends.

Pro: Strong hits with many options of control.
Con: Awkward movement.
The oni who is always drunk thanks to her never-ending gourd, except that it has gone missing, causing her to be sober for the first time in centuries! But perhaps its this sobriety that she now has a clear head and can actually focus on a game of volleyball. And this focus will pay off in using Suika's skills and abilities. Being an oni, she has very powerful hits on the ball. Whether you spike, pass, or serve, all her hits are strong and powerful. Each type of hit on the ball has its own use, so if you want to give the opponent some panic, spike the ball for a hard hit, or give it high bounce when you need time to think as it will remain in the air for some time. Her abilities are no slouch either when she uses her mist ability. All of these skills could make her a contender for best character had it not been for the very strange movements she possesses. She has been drunk for so long, she has taken her drunken movements to muscle memory. She is slippery, her dashes are more like nudges, and she has trouble slowing down. It will require a real zen master to figure out how to manage her unorthodox movements.

Her projectile has her hurl a boulder at her opponent, but don't think this is merely throwing a rock. Hold down the button and you will see a chart. This chart shows you how far the boulder will travel. Hold down the ball button and you can increase the altitude. Release the projectile button and send the boulder flying to the parameters you have given it. Even if it misses your target, simply tap the projectile button once more and the boulder will shatter into pieces, flying in all directions. A great and versatile projectile that can be more effective when you learn how to control it.

Her bomb allows her to turn her opponent's projectiles into mist. Just a good ol' basic bomb.
Her desperation has her cover her entire side of the field into mist. And from this mist, smaller versions of herself will start popping out, aiming to ram into the opponent. As long as you have meter, the mist will remain in place, even in-between rallies (but the mini-Suika's won't pop out during this time). The mist can even protect you by destroy all of the opponent's projectiles, making it a perfect shield. You may also hit the desperation button again and all the mist will transform into a huge plethora of items.

Stay tuned for the next announcement as we will spotlight the final team of the roster.
