Hey everyone!
Playtest #3 Date + 175k Wishlists!
The next playtest will take place in 3 weeks, beginning on May 14th
As a massive thank you to all of you for waiting and providing so much valuable feedback last time, the playtest will be live for even longer this time around!
On another note, reaching 175k wishlists is absolutely unreal and it just encourages me to work harder than ever. 200k up next!
Who's Getting Access
There are currently 120,000 people waiting for playtest access!!
Following the trend of every playtest being bigger than the last, we will be granting access to 30-50 thousand more people right here on Steam! Maybe even more if things go well!
Once again, Patreon supporters & approved ORMOD Creators will be given early access before everyone else. If you’d like to support us, check it out here
All Discord sign-ups will also receive guaranteed access.
We will also be continuing to give out many bonus keys throughout the playtest.
Everyone who previously had access won't need to do anything to get access again when the playtest goes live. Once you’re in, you’re in!
What’s New & Coming
Everyone has been working extremely hard on some seriously cool new content, hundreds of bug fixes, and balancing changes, all in response to feedback from all of you.
We will have a dedicated video on some highlights and specifics of what's coming next week, but here are a few details to tide you over in the meantime:
Overhauled and re-balanced survival system, including new scavenging options & water wells in towns
Even more overhauled UI and major inventory changes, lots of clean-up and improvements
The new Team and Radio systems to invite, talk, and collaborate with other players
Major world-gen upgrades and new points of interest, including much larger towns, new houses, and a new police precinct
New brighter night-time lighting (yes, I’ve listened)
New craftable items, such as the Hunting Bow
More Mechanoid behaviour and mechanics improvements
New vehicles!
Totally overhauled architecture, more stability, larger servers, meaning much better performance overall
We will also be having a new vote with our Patreon backers today on more new content!
The Team System Vote Results
Thank you to everyone for giving your thoughts & input on the new Team System!
I’ve got some great news, because the vote was quite close & so many people asked for it, we’re just going to implement both systems. You’ll be able to invite your friends remotely, or by simply finding them.
Thank you all so much for supporting ORMOD and joining me on this wild journey. Much more to come.
See you in-game soon!
