ORMOD Playtest #2 Is Live Now!
We will be moving full steam ahead with the playtest! Storm or not, ORMOD comes first! In the meantime, here are some reminders and important deets:
Who's getting access!
Amber & Steel Patreon supporters and approved ORMOD creators have been granted access for the past 24-48 hours.
We’re inviting other Patreon tiers, Discord sign-ups, and thousands of Steam sign-ups in waves.
Patreon and Discord sign-ups will have a Steam key sent via email. Check junk/spam folders!
Steam sign-ups are granted access directly through Steam, and should receive a notification email upon approval.
NOTE: Not all Steam sign-ups are getting access this round! Steam randomly selects Approvals. We just choose how many invites to grant in each wave. We plan to approve around 5,000 (out of over 60,000 sign-ups!!) for this playtest. We’re gradually ramping up the number of invites for each playtest, so expect even more to be invited to the next one!
Other ways to get access
Patreon membership is still always open! All tiers will receive a Steam key & Ambers can request more for their friends!
The giveaway keys will be handed out over the next hour! You can still enter the giveaway by reacting to THIS announcement or any prior announcements.
Many creators are hosting key giveaways on their streams while playing during this playtest weekend. Keep an eye on #ormod-media to see when ORMOD creators are live!
Steam invites are currently active! If a friend has access, ask them to invite you.
If you haven’t received access yet, don’t worry! We're giving them out in waves, you may still receive yours in a few hours or tomorrow!
How long will the playtest be live for?
The playtest is currently planned to be live until March 29, 2026 4:00 PM UTC.
Everyone with access can play for as long as they like until then! NOTE: If the stormy weather causes power outages, this may result in the playtest ending sooner. I’m trying my best to keep it up without interruptions! Thanks for your patience and understanding if the playtest ends sooner than planned.
New content!
Our early access Patreons & creators have already been doing an amazing job finding loads of bugs, which are getting actively fixed at a very fast rate! If you find any, don't forget to report them in Bug-Reports in Discord: https://discord.gg/ormoddirective. That’s the purpose of these playtests, after all! Everything is still work-in-progress & subject to change! Loads of new content and servers have been added, with even more content coming throughout the weekend. Keep an eye on Steam for the full patch notes in the coming days! See you in-game!
