Welcome to our Playtest #4! We're opening it up again as part of the Games composed in Germany Steam event!
This update introduces dynamic weather, expands your decorating options with outdoor decorations (!!!) and a brand-new Upcycled Furniture Set, as well as makes 100% World Restoration possible! We've also added the first phase of controller support, improved trash rewards, introduced auto-save, and made plenty of quality-of-life improvements based on your feedback (thank you so much for it!)
Just click "Join Playtest" on our Steam page and jump right in! And if you already joined the Playtest previously, just make sure to update The Regreening in your Steam Library.
And don't forget to join our friendly Discord community to share feedback, screenshots, and your latest regreening adventures. We love hearing your thoughts and seeing what you create. 💚

🎮 Controller Support (tell us if it feels right!)
You've been saying how much you'd like to play The Regreening with a controller, and we are happy to announce that the controller support is finally here!!
This is an early implementation (the very first version), so we'd really appreciate your feedback on how the controls feel. We'll use your experience to improve things further and maybe even add features like key remapping in future updates!

♻️ Give Old Things New Life & Decorate the World
A brand-new furniture collection has arrived: the Upcycled Furniture Set! Check out the new style below!
But also, your creativity no longer has to stay indoors. You can now craft and place Outdoor Decorations to personalize restored areas, create cozy gardens, or simply add your own touch to the landscape.
You can discover new recipes while cleaning up trash or by restoring the world, then craft furniture from trash materials at the crafting table.
By the way, did you know that there is more than one Earthbound Home?
You can now enter and decorate every Earthbound Home across the map. Explore beyond familiar paths. You might discover places you've never visited before!
🌦️ The Weather Is Changed
I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Because the world now feels more alive with the introduction of our first Weather System!
Experience sunny days, gentle rain, heavy rain, and the occasional dust storm as you continue restoring nature. Rain now waters plants (yes, we fixed it!!), while dust storms leave behind dust piles and dry out your plants, giving you new challenges to prepare for. Don't forget that you can get rid of the dust piles with your mattock.
🔥 Auto Save Has Arrived
One of our most requested quality-of-life features is here!
Your game will now automatically save every time you end the day at the Campfire, making it easier to jump back into your restoration journey if something stops you from saving the game manually.
🌍 100% World Restoration Is Finally Possible!
Many of you came incredibly close to fully restoring Viri's world during previous playtests. We are still fascinated by your dedication!! Thanks to your bug reports, we've tracked down the inaccessible tiles that prevented full completion, and now... 100% World Restoration is now finally achievable!
Who's going to be the first to FULLY regreen the world?
♻️ Trash Is More Rewarding
Cleaning up the world now feels even better.
Trash piles can drop multiple resource types and larger quantities than before, making scavenging more satisfying and helping you gather materials for crafting, decoration, and restoration.
