In this update i finally continue the single player storyline and successfully configure an official DLC pipeline to establish downloadable content supply.
for a long time ive been relapsing the need for hammer editor time, kind of manifesting how exactly the first level should transition into the second and ive finally mapped it out.
Introducing some new mechanics ive been wanting to implement, a little less claustrophobic compared to the first level equally as complicated to play through and travels nicely from the first level.
im excited to present the continuation of Chapter 1: The Awakening - with Chapter 2: The Arrival! This new map is to be played after beating the first one obviously to get the fullest experience; when the time comes achievements will also be built into this map expanding the achievements list.
This update also packs some new texture materials, not much but some. i also changed the pine tree model from the snow covered model to the green one because i love the trees, i may even decompile the model and add both texture choices rightfully to the .qc file if i get bored and recompile it.
This update also carries the release of a full official downloadable content pipeline to further advance the level of A Nights Haunting: Source with Steam Partnership Platform integration as a Source SDK base 2013 Multiplayer MOD.
For the past month and recent few weeks ive worked with valve to build, review and to release this DLC, indeed another great learning experience of the amazing steam platforms backend and again an honor to be apart of.
With the release of the Face LIFT Fan -E- PACK [DLC] - I offer a new set of intro videos and main menu background for 0.99 cents to support the game and show some love - this gave me experimentation in building a DLC, to which the base game itself checks for the purchased DLC and if it is purchased properly mounts the content on boot for each player. the contents have been tested by both being packed via .vpk and packed loose files confirming further DLCs will work both ways in their structures. So this has been tested and confirmed completed.
whilst awaiting valves content and pricing reviews i took the time to continue the storyline. bringing both these updates to the table at the same time.
