Hey all! I'm super excited to announce that SCARY WORLD, this Vampire-Survivors-Inspired action roguelike game, is coming to Steam on Wednesday!
Here's what you need to know:
- It's kinda like Vampire Survivors - or if you don't know that game, it's like a bullet-heaven action roguelike. That means you go shoot shoot shoot for awhile, collect a bunch of loot, and then when you die everything is re-randomized. I guess it's kinda like playing a super fast, short Diablo on Ironman Mode.
- Playtime is short! Vampire Survivors match structure by default is 30 minutes, but in this game it's just 10. It is possible to go beyond 10, but stuff gets hard, fast at 10 (and something happens around 20 that you probably won't survive).
- Crazy physics-y powers! Powers that bounce off of things, that deal more damage the faster you're going, that blast enemies back, and more. The kinds of abilities that you'll find in this game, I don't think you'll find anywhere else.
- Lots of different characters with special innate traits and their own stats and stuff! One character gets bonus HP whenever they collect gold. One character DOUBLES their attack at one specific point in the game. And so on!
- Achievements! Controller Support! It's great on a Steam Deck! Difficulty modes! Yay!

Overall, this game is quick and exciting. But I also find it really funny. From stuff like LASER CHAMP who comes in and says SCARY EYEBALL BOSS DETECTED and stuff like the green shell, or the shotgun, this game just really brings a smile to my face. I'm really proud of it and I hope you'll enjoy it as much as me and my community have.
