There isn't anything particularly big in this update; it's a collection of assorted fixes and changes that I didn't want to withhold until the next major update.
The biggest change is the option to disable the dedicated Hoard view. This view was added shortly after the Early Access launch at the request of advanced players who wanted to be able to match tiles while managing their dungeon, rather than moving between one or the other. I think "core" players will continue to use it, but I have received many comments (and even bug reports!) from new players who weren't sure why there was a duplicate Hoard hovering off to the side of their dungeon. With the addition of the pausing mechanic, I think there's less reason to pressure players into using the Hoard view, so I've disabled it for new players, moving forward.
Another noteworthy change is that followers will no longer be promoted. Instead, followers who slay a heroic champion will give their leader their promotion. This should help prevent your custom parties from breaking up when followers get promoted and are no longer valid followers.
I also added a few new layers to the "Earth" as you build down into the crust--just to break up the scenery a little. Various units have some new weaknesses/immunities (most of these won't make a big difference yet, though, because they are for damage types that aren't utilized so much). Punji drop rate and cooldown have been nerfed a little, as I see lots of people relying very heavily upon it in their screenshots.
