Gamescom was a big one for the cult, aka JOIN US.
The team had an incredible trip to Cologne, Germany. We met awesome people, revealed new content, and let players experience JOIN US for the very first time on the show floor.
Friends Don’t Let Friends Join Cults
We appeared on the Future Games Show to premiere our new co-op trailer, “Friends Don’t Let Friends Join Cults.”
We also announced that JOIN US will launch on PlayStation 5 alongside Xbox and PC on day one!
JOIN US at the Xbox Booth
We had a great time at the Xbox booth, where we met with press from around the world and had the chance to chat about JOIN US and show off the game. We also went by a German thrift store and bought weird cult decorations for the room.
The clown randomly rebooted computer monitors when it got near (not a joke) so we left it behind because, cursed.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by!
Our First Public Hands-On Demo
For the very first time, JOIN US was playable on the Gamescom show floor.
Watching players build their compounds, recruit followers, and spread their beliefs was amazing for the team. Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared their feedback! We can’t wait to get more players in the mix soon.
Former Cult Members Play JOIN US
We also filmed a special IGN feature where real former cult members played JOIN US and shared their thoughts on the game. See what they had to say below! This is the trailer we wanted to shoot since before we had a company, so it was really cool to see it come together.
11 Minutes of Uncut Gameplay
Last but not least, we partnered with IGN to release 11 minutes of uncut JOIN US gameplay for the very first time.
Take a closer look at the game’s campaign introduction - SPOILER ALERT on a few things, so if you want to save yourself, we don’t mind.
That wraps up Gamescom for JOIN US! Thank you to everyone who watched, played, visited the booth, or shared the game with their friends.
We can’t wait to show you more.
Wishlist JOIN US on Steam and follow the game to stay informed about future updates.
