Hello Prehistorians.
Today we've made the difficult decision to move Clawed's release date from July 23 to August 13.
This wasn't a decision we made lightly. Since announcing our release date, July 23 has become an exceptionally crowded launch day, with a significant number of major game releases now scheduled for the very same day, alongside an already busy release window throughout late July.
As an independent studio, launch week is incredibly important. Those first few days can determine whether a game reaches its audience or gets lost among a wave of new releases. With so many major launches happening at the same time, it can be much harder for independent titles to receive meaningful visibility.
After a great deal of consideration, we believe August 13 gives Clawed the launch window it deserves—giving players, creators, and the press a better opportunity to discover and experience everything the game has to offer. The additional time will also allow us to continue polishing the game, which is always welcome.
We know this delay will be disappointing, especially this close to release, and we sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to playing on July 23.
The support Clawed has received over the past year has exceeded anything we could have imagined. Thanks to all of you, the game has grown into something much bigger than we ever expected, and that's exactly why we want to give it the strongest launch possible.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. It has meant the world to our team, and we're looking forward to finally opening the gates to Prehistoria on August 13.
We'll have more to share over the coming weeks as we count down to launch.
See you in Prehistoria.
